Lorna joined Health and Social Care Scotland in April 2022 from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde where she was Interim Director of Primary Care.
Lorna has worked in the NHS for over 25 years, and first joined the NHS as a graduate trainee working in Glasgow and Edinburgh and gaining a Masters in Healthcare Management. She worked for several years in England, in Commissioning and Acute Hospital management in Bristol and then as Head of Strategy and Planning at a Primary Care Trust in Birmingham. Since returning to Scotland, Lorna has held a variety of senior roles in policy, strategic planning and primary care as well as a secondment as Associate Director at Glasgow Centre for Population Health, and several years as professional advisor to the Scottish Government Primary Care team.
