Phase 3 of Moray Mental Health Strategy, Good Mental Health for All, includes redesign of services. After consultation with the people of Moray, community representatives, health and social care, third sector and others via ‘Making Recovery Real’ project (facilitated by Scottish Recovery Network), a new contract commenced on 1 April 2019. The service specification supports individuals with major mental illness to achieve their full potential, function at optimum levels and live as independently as possible in their own homes and be engaged with their local communities: to have the right support at the right time from the right resources.
By utilizing the CHIME framework to identify existing good practice within local areas, teams in Moray are able to identify challenges and to inspire hope that it is possible in spite of challenges to progress with new ways of working. This is reflected in phase 4 objectives of the Moray Mental Health Strategy, to develop the workforce and make better use of a tiered model for mental health.
This workshop, in the style of a conversation café, will invite participants to discuss and identify challenges and barriers experienced in pursuing greater integrated working. Groups will consider CHIME principals relating to HSCScotland's five essential elements, and facilitate feedback focusing on existing good practice, as well as hearing from people who use this service as they reflect on their recovery journey.
The session will conclude with the participants identifying an action point to take away to progress in their area.
This workshop is by Moray HSCP and SAMH.
